Under the able leadership of the President Shri Arvind Ramesh Prabhoo, AIPA is trying its best to get the sport recognised by the Government and the Sports Authority of India. This will lead to the game being included in school & University games and thereafter in National games. Our vision is also getting this sport into Olympic games and gaining required recognition from the government.

Mr. Sunil Valavalkar brought the game to India in 2007 and All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) was formed as a not-for-profit organisation under Section 25 of the Companies Act and has been promoting the sport in India for the last 15 years. AIPA has been formally granted affiliation of the International Pickleball Federation (IPF), USA in the year 2015. It is also the founding member of Asia Federation of Pickleball, Singapore.


Since AIPA is pioneer for introducing Pickleball in India, we are responsible for its promotion, development and enjoyment in India.

During the past 15 years AIPA has conducted a Bainbridge Cup Tournament in December 2022, 6 National Tournaments, 2 Federation Cups, 3 Indian Open Tournaments, 3 National Ranking Tournaments, various State Level Tournaments, 2 League Championships, and many Club Level Tournaments. As a result currently over 10,000 players are actively playing Pickleball on the Pan India Level.

Empowering Youth & Citizens of India to get equal rights to play in the society through encouragement and creating a healthy, sustainable and safe environment to play pickleball sport.


AIPA's vision is to popularize the sport in India and ensure grassroot development of the sport throughout India. AIPA has already started its engagement & development programme in which talented players are identified and given all around training in skills, diet, physical endurance, mental conditioning, etc. under the watchful eyes of specialists in respective fields. AIPA thrives to achieve success by creating and nurturing a robust bunch of talented players who can compete against the best players in World Pickleball.

Team India wins 4 gold and 2 bronze at the recently concluded Asian Open Pickleball Championship Vietnam 2024

All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), the leading organization driving the growth of pickleball in India, is thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of Team India at the Asian Open Pickleball Championship Vietnam 2024. With a strong contingent of 35 individuals, AIPA played a pivotal role in supporting and nurturing India's talent on the international stage.

In the highly competitive team event, featuring two men's doubles, one mixed doubles, and one women's doubles match, Team India showcased exceptional skill and teamwork, securing the gold medal and reinforcing their dominance in the sport. In the mixed doubles intermediate 35+ category, Sachin Pahwa and Priyanka Chhabra demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination, clinching the gold medal after a thrilling battle against Ruben Hellberg and Chitlada Hemasee with a score of 11-9, 5-11, and 11-9.

Continuing the winning streak, Isha Lakhani and Pei Chuan Kao emerged victorious in the women's doubles open category, capturing the gold medal with a commanding performance against Dang Kim Ngan and Tyak K, securing a resounding victory with a score of 15-7 and 15-3.

In the men's doubles event, Aniket Patel and Rohit Patil displayed exceptional grit and skill, overcoming Nik Alessandro Isagan and Lester Ga in a hard-fought match to claim the gold medal. Despite facing adversity, Aniket and Rohit rallied back after losing the first set, ultimately triumphing with a final score of 5-11, 11-6, and 11-8.
